Chapter 2 "The Non Human World"

New York City faces many natural hazards. The most recent was Hurricane Super Storm Sandy. The City of New York is still facing obstacles to re-build the areas that were stricken that hardest. Some parts of Coney Island were shut down for months as re-building took place. This was a tragedy that was unexpected. Subways were closed which affected people to and from work. Houses were taken away and burnt down.

Climate Change is a big affect that is going on to New York City. As global warming has become a big factor, Sea Water Levels are rising and will slowly but surely affect the City in many ways. Floods, Hurricanes, record heat, record snow, and rising wind velocities will be common....
