New York City has a high rate of Precipitation. Since it is a large city, there are many
EXTERNAL COSTS. New York City was known to have high rates of crime, homelessness, and poverty. Rudy Giuliani helped clean the city up with programs to make the city more safer. Since New York City's region is next to water and consists of 5 boroughs, it is a place for tourism. New York City is on a bed rock and this allows buildings to be built high up.
The air is polluted due to the mass population and travel by car and air. New York City borders with New Jersey which is a ferry away from one another. The beaches of New York City are clean as you go farther out of Manhattan. The water surrounding Manhattan is polluted and people are not attracted to this part. The view from the ocean line is marvelous! New York City is always in construction which has its effects. More and more urban development is growing which allows more people to become urbanized within the city.
